Safety?? Canadian actress Jasmine Mooney was coming to the US with her paperwork to apply for a TN visa (for Canadian professionals). At the border she was stopped by ICE and rather than simply denying her entry, they took her into custody and held her in ICE detention for 12 days.
I'm so tired of hearing that Canadians are our best friends and welcome in the US. For Americans it's about the MONEY and nothing more. Get it through your heads that financial incentives will not fix this. Canadians are uncharacteristicly anger about Mr. Trump's 51st state rhetoric and our treatment at the Border. It could take generations if ever to fix the lost trust that took hundreds of years to develop.
